Michael Damian Weir (born April 26, 1962) is an American actor, recording artist and producer, best known for his role as Danny Romalotti on the soap opera The Young and the Restless, which he played from 1981 to 1998 and again in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2013. Michael began his music career as a member of his family band, The Weirz, who released two self-titled albums, one in 1975 and one in 1979

Michael Damian began studying piano at the age of six, under the tutelage of his mother, a classical pianist. By age eleven, proficient on; piano, B-3 organ, clarinet, trombone and vibes, Michael joined forces with his brothers and sisters and took to the road in the family band "The Weirz". The progressive rock troupe toured the west coast during the 1970’s and in 1978 the family relocated to Los Angeles from San Diego. In 1981 Damian recorded a remake of Eric Carmen's "She Did It". The record hit the Billboard Top 40 and landed him an appearance on Dick Clark's. The show became the highest grossing revival in L. A. history and Damian continued on to New York where the show succeeded in breaking Broadway’s box office records. He was nominated for a Grammy, for the cast album.
