Jamiroquai ‎– Songs For Manitù.

A new century A new Jamiroquai A Funk Odyssey became the band's biggest international album to date, going in numerous countries, and helped by the super duper dance-floor filler 'Little L', which also reached worldwide, and became one of their best dance hits to date. The band's interstellar trunk of funk packed this album with songs you could really dance to, like the singles 'Canned Heat' and 'Supersonic', while tackling some serious social issues as well that helped take the album to number one in the UK, Germany, Australia and beyond. Travelling Without Moving.

Top 5 Jamiroquai Songs. For quite some time Jamiroquai has been around doing their thing. Although I respect Jay Kay, the lead singer and face of the group, for his dancing and the energy he brings to his music for most of the 90’s and all of the 2000’s he was well on my periphery. He went down his path and I went down another musical road and we rarely crossed paths. Every once in a while I would hear something of theirs that I would like but it would quickly be forgotten in the noise of day to day life.

Jamiroquai were regular chart-botherers during the nineties and early noughties and now they – led by charismatic, controversial frontman Jay Kay – are back after six years, with new album Automaton. With a clutch of unforgettable club classics and funky numbers – and we mean, like actually funky – Jamiroquai have an impressive chart history. We exclusively reveal their official biggest hits in the UK, right after we look at a few highlights.

Jamiroquai's original drummer Nick van Gelder was absent from the group for longer than expected, and was replaced by Derrick McKenzie, who recorded with the band in one take for his audition. The group began writing songs for their second album The Return of the Space Cowboy, but Kay fell into a creative block that which was emphasised by his increasing. drug use, and the initially complex nature of the album caused Sony to tell the band that "none of sounded like singles".

Oh, yesterday I was half the man I'd used to be. Maybe that's because you're the other half of me. Like the spring in bloom the summer of our love is soon. Yesterday I was brighter than the morning sun. Now my love is lost and lonely days have just begun. A solitary chair for a silent love affair. A king has lost his throne, now he sits alone, hey, hey. Yeah, yeah, every bird will sing, yeah, oh, now.
