Development corporations or development firms are organisations established by governments in several countries for the purpose of urban development. In Australia development corporations are often responsible for the economic promotion and growth of areas considered to be under-performing economically.
Malakian, in an interview with Kerrang! (via Revolver), said he didn’t want to finger Tankian but that the singer is totally set in his way of thinking. The new Scars on Broadway LP, Dictator – out July 20th – contains songs Malakian had been shelving since 2012, a couple of years after System of a Down reactivated after a hiatus following its last two albums. Community development corporations (CDCs) are locally based nonprofit organizations that work to help the residents of impoverished areas to improve their quality of life. Such organizations exist in virtually every major urban area of the United States today. Community development corporations function somewhat like private developers but are governed by the community," Gustav Spohn explained in an article for the San Diego Business Journal. Their boards of directors are typically composed of community residents together with experts who advise them on the technical aspects of fund-raising and development projects. They depend heavily on government and private philanthropic funds, which in turn leverage financing from banks and other investors.
