FWIW, the book "Loser: The Real Seattle Music Story" cites it as having come out in 1984, which may or may not be accurate.

i noticed someone was selling mint copies on discogs...randall?, when was this released?
The Wakefield Manufacturing unique company numbers ('42062' etched in runouts and printed on labels) testify the record can't have been pressed before 1983. Once again, there's a difference between the recording date, the pressing date and the release date.
No. It was me. Now on ebay. As I recall it was released around 1981.
referred to as a "new seattle outfit" in maxrnr april 1985
Definitely not a new 1985 band, their name appears on the Hüsker Dü thank list printed on the 'Land Speed Records' insert: guess they played with them in July 1981 in Seattle during their "Childrens' Crusade" tour.
great little 2 song 7". two cover variations exist: one is a b&w xerox, the other one a color-xerox (colors barely visible).1981 release of this is highly unlikely. I bought it as a new arrival from a mailorder in 1985. it doesn't sound like 1981 at all.
If you have proof, please share. I sounds so heavily Broken Bones influenced and so atypical for 81, I don't believe it until I see proof.
I live in Seattle & I know these guys personally. This did not come out in 1985. It came out in 1981.
I think that was a long time ago and maybe he meant it was recorded in 1981.
Unbelievably great and original vintage punk rock music from the Seattle scene. Very clever lyrics. Outstanding recording. A true masterpiece of punk magnificence.
This didn't come out in 1985. It came out in 1981. I have a rehearsal tape of all their songs which were never released. It includes the song: Kill the Seattle Police and Son of Sam among others.
Randy just lives a few blocks from me and has told me this on numerous occasions.
what do you think about that?
In answer to the question of when this was recorded: I talked to Randy the other day (the guitarist in this group) and he told me it was released in 1981.
DukeMantee, do you have a solid proof that this 7" was released in 1981 ? Did you buy it in 1981 ? You may have a rehearsal tape from that period but that doesn't mean the 7" was released in 1981. Thanks.
