Neil Young is the self-titled debut studio album by Canadian musician Neil Young following his departure from Buffalo Springfield in 1968, issued on Reprise Records. Some sources place the album's release date on January 22, 1969, while other sources have the release date as Young's 23rd birthday, November 12, 1968. It was then partially remixed and re-released in November 1969, but at no time has the album ever charted on the Billboard 200.

Neil Young continues to be one of the most prolific musicians in rock with the announcement of his latest live album, Tuscaloosa. The seven-track LP captures highlights from Young's Feb. 3, 1973, performance with the Stray Gators at the University of Alabama. The concert chronicled on Live at Massey Hall finds Neil dipping into these recent successes for material, as he also airs material that would shortly find a home on 1972's Harvest in addition to playing songs that wouldn't surface until later in the decade - "Journey Through the Past" and "Love in Mind" wound up on 1973's Time Fades.

Young spent the majority of 1976 on the road with Crazy Horse or on the ill-fated Stills-Young Band tour, which he famously dropped out of midway through that summer.
