It's really sad how people are giving this EP such negative feedback. In my opinion, 'Waxwork (Chord Mix)' is already a classic. You have so much music put out before and now that you can't tell what it is from 2 seconds of playing it, but not 'Waxwork (Chord Mix)'. It's not Techno, or House, not Breaks, just some beats, with a chord, simple but so effective, and catchy. It seriously packs so much groove into it's drums. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but mine is that it's something i know i'll listen for the rest of my life because its that good.

This release is not worth buying I think; too distorted, lack of groove etc. But watch out for his next release.... "I'm The D" is pure dancefloor weaponry! Bag on sight.

Sounds like a generic mess inspired by some of the best crappy sounds humans are capable of generating. You could probably fart better sounds and it will sound better than Waxwork. No joke.

This music is not merely bad - it's a joke. Clearly it was created by some kid with zero skills or knowledge of electronic music and is appreciated by his peers who also lack that. Most people in this world are not interested in evolving from children. They are very stupid people who consume the utmost garbage, superficial music, watch TV shows, and read crap for literature (if they read at all). Sometimes these people get "inspired" (usually at a very young age) to create more stupid "art" which is invariably garbage because they put zero thought or effort into becoming skilled or knowing what they're doing beforehand. Evolved individuals who dig deeper, do their research, know what they are talking about before saying or producing anything, and develop a spirit and an intelligence in the world, are a rare breed. Much of the reason for this that life is too easy. These unfortunate kids have no discipline or discomforts in their lives so they are never forced to grow up. They will remain happily stupid until their late years. Consider: why do they even care about electronic music to begin with? Presumably because they need to feel unique and tell all their friends that they listen to something that's very alternative and hip. If they were honest in their journey they would not stop here, but for them it's not a conscious journey or an evolution. They don't care about that and there's little we can do to change them without involving force. I'm also too young to know what trancentral is, but luckily not all young people are total idiots, only 99.9%.

Don't know why this has such a low rating. Such a good record.

This phenomenon is largely a product of the digital age and the current state of underground music. This week: "This is the greatest thing ever!" Next week: "No, THIS is the greatest thing ever!" And so on. Obviously the star system is still subjective. But how many records in one's collection can really be 5-stars? If they all are, 5-star might well as be 3-star. Which is what it's come to mean on discogs, IMO.

discogs ratings are pretty meaningless anyway. the majority of users rate something 5 stars or nothing at all. regardless of whether you like the tunes or not, can you really argue that this is a 5-star record?

I swear its cause people are rating it low because of the price. The music speaks for itself, also if you look most of the low ratings are from people who don't own the record.
