On Disc: The Legendary Masters Series Volume One. Booklet is poster-style and unfolds into a large news/magazine style page with detailed recording history. This compilation was mastered from the original full track mono, 2-track stereo session tapes, and 3-track master session tapes. Tracks 1 to 15 - Mono AAD, Tracks 16 to 19 - Stereo AAD, Track 20 - Stereo ADD. Tracks 17 & 20 presented here for the first time in Stereo. He was the best-selling African-American singer of the 1950s and early 1960s whose congenial, non threatening personality allowed him to succeed despite a period of deep-seated racial segregation. Domino is also a pianist with an individualistic bluesy style showing stride and boogie-woogie influences. In 1986, he was among the first batch to get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

Blue Monday" is a song originally written by Dave Bartholomew, first recorded in 1953 by Smiley Lewis and issued as a single, in January 1954, on Imperial Records (catalog 5268). The single, with a slow-rocking beat, features an instrumental electric guitar solo by Lewis.
