Dole & Kom’s next step was the creation of their own labels: BCC Music and Death by Disco. The project for which the duo are perhaps best known is Studio 45, the alias under which they released tracks through Azuli, Nervous Records and David Morales’s Definity Records. As Studio 45, Dole & Kom played DJ and live sets all over the world. Their track Freak It even charted in the UK Top 40. Dole & Kom’s unique, independent approach made them an ideal match for Acker Records, with whom they released their Trompetenkrähe EP.

As with the rest of the series, Me Against the World features mostly unsigned bands contributing songs that were previously unreleased.

Me Against the World is the third studio album by American rapper 2Pac, released on March 14, 1995 by Out Da Gutta/Interscope Records. Drawing lyrical inspiration from his impending prison sentence, troubles with the police, and poverty, the album is described as being 2Pac's most introspective album.

Dole and Kom first met in 1993 while working as vinyl dealers at Berlin’s Delirium Record Store. Complimentary tastes in music and an evolving friendship led them to play numerous DJ gigs together at the city’s major clubs – including Tresor, E-Werk and WMF. Producing under the moniker Club Heroes, their first single Dum Dum was released by the Chicago-based Relief Records in 1996, around the same time that the pair joined the roster at the legendary Formaldehyd Records in Germany.

Me Against the World was deep, reflective. It was like a blues record. It was all my fears, all the things I just couldn’t sleep about. Everybody thought that I was living so well and doing so good that I wanted to explain it. And it took a whole album to get it all out. It’s explaining my lifestyle, who I am, my upbringing and everything. It talks about the streets but talks about it in a different light.

'Me Against the World'' album was released on March 14, 1995 by Interscope Records. The album was 2Pac's reflections at one of the most difficult points in his life. Perhaps as a result of these circumstances, Me Against the World has become known to many as the most incendiary of Shakur’s releases, expressing an intensely personal mix of emotions and reactions to the events of his life. Many believe this album to be the pinnacle of gangster rap albums.
