Rudolf Dellinger (8 July 1857 – 24 September, 1910) was a German Bohemian composer and Kapellmeister. He almost exclusively composed operettas and was considered to be among the most outstanding composers of his time. Born into a family of Bohemian of instrument makers in Graslitz, Dellinger received musical tuition early in life. He studied at the School of Music in Prague between 1874 and 1879, and later at the Prague Conservatory, where he was taught piano by, among others, Julius Pisarowitz.
This is 'Ranking Dellinger' the album by reggae DJ Dillinger. Every reggae artist worth his or her salt has their name misspelled at least once in their career. Here Dillinger gets immortalized as ‘Dellinger’. This came out in 1977 on Weed Beat Records (which may go some way to explaining the spelling issues). And check out that deep knee drop from ‘Dellinger’ – he’s in the middle of some serious skanking in that photo (I bet that left-arm is swinging like a metronome).
The Dellinger Prominence-MJR also features the Caparison M3 composite tone wood body construction, which consists of a central Maple section sandwiched between two Mahogany sides, the neck bolts directly to the Maple section. The result is a balanced sound with focused low frequencies and rich sustain. The Dellinger Prominence-MJR also now features a 5-piece Maple and Walnut neck for ultimate stability. At Michael Romeo’s request, the Dellinger Prominence-MJR is equipped with the Jim Dunlop super jumbo frets and a modified neck profile, which supports high-speed playing.
