The Mole - Conversations With The Past album
Sleeping with the Past is the 22nd studio album by the English singer-songwriter Elton John, released on 29 August 1989. It is his best-selling album in Denmark (where it was recorded) and is dedicated to his longtime writing partner Bernie Taupin. The album features his first solo number-one single, "Sacrifice", in his home country of the UK, which helped the album also hit number one there, his first since 1974's Elton John's Greatest Hits
The Mole got the name from his Russian piano tuner who when asked how he's doing responds with 'steady down'. An appropriate hand movement accompanies this and he explains it as being a description of life - steady down towards the grave. The Russian thought it was funny. Anyway the track has absolutely nothing to do with death, it just goes steady down.

Lagging conversations establish the mood, garbage trucks on parade set the scene. Every detail still stings: three chords and heartbreak. Consider Grizzly Bear’s third LP a John Cheever story rendered as baroque-pop album: imbued with dusky, pastoral arrangements but gripped by the sort of interiority associated with the band’s onetime base of Brooklyn. Composed even in its conflict, Veckatimest is a lesson on keeping up appearances: It’s no accident that the collection’s most chaotic moment - a blustery breakup track - bears the polite but delusional title of I Live With You.
