Spoon - They Want My Soul album

Авторы текста и музыки.
They Want My Soul is the eighth studio album by American indie rock band Spoon. It was released on August 5, 2014 through the band's new label, Loma Vista Recordings. It is the band's first album to feature new member Alex Fischel, who plays keyboards and guitar. The band took several years off following the release of Transference in 2010, giving each member time to explore other projects.
And artists-those blasphemous and holy conduits for truth, liberty, and whatever else is missing from our lives-can't help but succumb. To last more than 20 years in rock'n'roll without sacrificing a lethal amount of one's soul requires a certain vigilance; to navigate around the pitfalls of both punk and ambition without tripping-up on either can seem just as hard as making a great album. But Spoon, one of the most stand-up bands of their generation, have figured all of this out. On their eighth album, they laugh in the face of leeches, defy gravity, suspend time.
At first glance, Spoon a typical American guitar strap. Founded in the early 1990s, the era for contrarian Americans with distorted guitars, the band grew to become a respected member of the renowned indierocklabel Merge. Since then, the Texans also praised to the skies Transference (2010) four years later and are good for, because They Want My Soul is once again very strong.
Album · 2014 · 10 Songs. Opening with the churning guitar and crackling overdrive of Rent I Pay, They Want My Soul is Spoon’s most sonically adventurous album to date.
They Want My Soul could well be the point in Spoon’s career where respect turns to love. It may not have the dizzying conceptual highs of previous records that so enthralled critics, but has something equally valuable: a rock’n’roll band remembering the noise of rock and the swing of roll, and as such it may be their most crowdpleasing record. Maybe things would have happened a lot quicker if I’d just gone out with Lindsay Lohan, Daniel said to an interviewer a few years back. This album should finally ensure he never has to resort to that

And impressive that it hasn’t leaked considering plenty of people have promo copies. o Level 5. July 23, 2014 at 10:42 pm. It should be leaking any day now.
Exclusively for Prime members. Sample this album Artist (Sample). I already knew I liked Spoon- Ga Ga Ga Ga is a great album, and I have various singles from others. But They Want My Soul is an instant hit and is probably in my top 20 albums all time- and that IS saying something for a guy who easily owns more than a thousand full records/CDs. I'm also pleased at the variety of beats, subject, et. in the album.
