Together with his Ars Antiqua Austria ensemble, Gunar Letzbor occupied himself over a ten year period to produce this 10CD ""Klang der Kulturen"" box, a musical tour of the individual countries that formed the roots of and influences on the music of baroque Vienna, documenting them in live recordings, with each CD representing one country. The result is a comprehensive compendium showing European baroque music from a point of view unusual for us today. This collection reveals many exciting new perspectives in over ten hours of musical works, most of which are recorded here for the first time. CD 2 Slovenia Posch, Dolar, Tartini, Birck. Gunar Letzbor was a regular member of Musica Antiqua Köln, Clemencic Consort, La Folia Salzburg, Armonico Tributo Basel and the Wiener Akademie. As as part of his commitment to these ensembles he attempted for years to express the tonal variety of Austrian baroque music. Concert tours lead him throughout Europe, the USA and Japan, where he also regularly performs as soloist in violin concertos with great success. In 1995 Gunar Letzbor founded the ensemble Ars Antiqua Austria, with whom he created a great sensation with the recording of the violin concertos of . . Gunar Letzbor is a much requested teacher for the baroque violin. He is professor at the University of Music in Lübeck.

Since it was founded it has always tried to emphasise both tradition and innovative musical styles. In 1890, the first ideas for a Haus für Musikfeste (House for music festivals) came about. The idea of the new multi-purpose building was to be more interesting to the broader public than the traditional Vienna Musikverein. In addition to the concert hall, the first drawings by Ludwig Baumann for the Olympion included an ice-skating area and a bicycle club. In an attached open air area, 40,000 visitors would be able to attend events. The drawings were not accepted.
