OOMPH! Gib mir deine Augen.
In 2001 was released Mein Herz brennt, the opening track of the Mutter album, a subtle balance of everything that Rammstein has produced best: powerful guitars, sublime orchestration and enigmatic lyrics. Certainly one of the best songs ever written by Rammstein. The artwork realized by Dirk Rudolph fits particularly well the new piano version of Mein Herz brennt, recorded with Sven Helbig: simple, strange and fascinatin. Pure pain" (Sven Helbig).
The music video for the piano version of the song premiered on 7 December 2012 on Vimeo. The video shows Till Lindemann wearing a black dress and fishnets, while also sporting black and white face paint. The entire bathroom is light red, and in the centre is a 'T' shaped pool emitting light. The video consists of close-ups on Lindemann singing from behind the pool, until the second verse begins, where he begins to walk to the pool's foot. As the song closes, Lindemann walks into it and its light fades.
Mein Herz Brennt' was first released on Rammstein's 2001 album, 'Mutter. Eleven years later, a new piano version of the song now has its own music video. A future video for yet another alternate version of 'Merin Herz Brennt' is expected to be unleashed to the public sometime before Dec. 18. Fans of Rammstein's visual offerings will find yet another odd, yet captivating video for the piano version of 'Mein Herz Brennt,' which depicts singer Till Lindemann bloodied, sliced up and wandering within a mysterious room.
