Pre-Emptive False Rapture is a music studio album recording by CHROME HOOF (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 2007 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Anyway, I really like this album, and despite any evident influences, I think that Chrome Hoof has something different to offer to Prog fans, and is well worth checking out. I love the contrast and diversity of styles, and despite having listened to this album many times, I'm constantly discovering things in the music (even if I have difficulty describing those things).
Chrome Hoof were formed by members of epic doom-metallers Cathedral who wanted an outlet to indulge their love of George Clinton, Sparks and general preposterousness. Their promise comes good on the astonishing ‘Death Is Certain’ which keeps your body flexing even as your brain radios for back-up. Pronoid’, meanwhile, gives !!! and Battles a run for their money in the cosmic math-disco intensity stakes
