is the second studio album by American rock band Pearl Jam, released on October 19, 1993 through Epic Records. After a relentless touring schedule in support of their 1991 debut album Ten, Pearl Jam headed into the studio in early 1993 facing the challenge of following up the commercial success of its debut. The resulting album, V. featured a rawer and more aggressive sound compared with the band's previous release

Vitalogy is the third studio album by American rock band Pearl Jam, released November 22, 1994, through Epic Records. Pearl Jam wrote and recorded Vitalogy while touring behind its previous album Vs. (1993). The music on the record was more diverse than previous releases, and consists of aggressive rock songs, ballads and other elements making it Pearl Jam's most experimental album to date.

Already during the tour, Pearl Jam had been recording the new album in Seattle, New Orleans and Atlanta with producer Brendan O’Brien, who had also produced Vs. The trek came to a close with an especially intense New York show that came just days after the body of Cobain had been discovered in Seattle. The New York show would prove to be Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese’s last gig as a member of the band. That summer, the group opted to let him go and replace him with former Red Hot Chili Pepper’s skinsman Jack Irons, who.

Vitalogy is Pearl Jam's third album released on November 22, 1994 by Epic Records. The album marks the beginning of an important phase on the band's life, starting their strict policy with mainstream industry and fans, described as a self-exile. Written while touring on Vs. time, Vitalogy is a different, ecletic, critic of success and fame album, and marked Pearl Jam's personality through the next years.

Pearl Jam debuted to great acclaim with the Ten album, followed by setting opening week sales records with their follow-up Vs. and were one of the hottest tickets on tour. But there was plenty of drama behind the scenes as they made the transition to writing and recording their third album, Vitalogy.

Vitalogy is the third studio album by the American rock band Pearl Jam, through Epic Records. The songs on this album are much more varied than that of their other albums, from much heavier and grungy sounding to soft ballads, making this Pearl Jam’s earliest experimental album.
