Friedman & Liebezeit Secret Rhythms 2 Download from Bandcamp released on CD and 2 12″,2005 LP out of print. The first two pieces on Secret Rhythms 2 were released in May 2005 on EP vinyl Out In The Sticks (non17) and appear here in completely new versions. The only vocal track on this album The Librarian is a collaboration with David Sylvian. In addition to Friedman and Liebezeit, guitarist Tim Motzer weaves funky touches all the way through. Lined up for the group´s live appearances and studio recordings is Hayden Chisholm, clarinet and melodica. Other guest musicians are Morten Grønvad, vibraharp; Daniel Schroeter, bass guitar and Joseph Suchy, electric guitar.

Burnt Friedman - Anthology 1980-2017 Burnt Friedman is not an artist who looks backwards. Like many German producers of his generation-Uwe Schmidt and Thomas Franzmann, for example-he quickly passed through his early forays into new beat and EBM to explore the rich possibilities electronic music presented in the '90s. He did so through, among other projects, the abstract dub of Nonplace Urban Field and the deconstructed jazz of Flanger. While his career has been relatively autonomous-much of his output has been self-released on Nonplace-Friedman's music has lately been championed by dance music's leftfield, as evidenced by appearances at Club Der Visionaere, Freerotation and Labyrinth. There's a healthy appetite for the alchemy provided by Friedman's unique style, where nonconformist rhythms meet organic and electronic instrumentation.

Like Liebezeit, Friedman already explored even and uneven rhythms back in the late 1980s. This selection of 17 tracks documents this pursuit while bringing rough or discarded tracks to light, which did not fit onto any album or were intended for the Nonplace label. The compilation runs the entire gamut of his work on percussion, keyboard, samplers and toys of all kinds using various production methods (tape, Atari, Midi, sampler, hard disk recording, digital audio tape).
