Lead singer and guitarist Peter Pisanos smiley yet sardonic vocals carry the album as the band delicately pushes forward through each song. The instrumentation is that of a typical set-up of guitar, bass, drums, and keys with select textural additives that make for a full, well-executed sound with its altering dynamics and intricacies. The term status quo ante bellum (also statu quo ante bellum and often shortened to status quo ante) is a Latin phrase meaning "the state existing before the war". The term was originally used in treaties to refer to the withdrawal of enemy troops and the restoration of prewar leadership. When used as such, it means that no side gains or loses territory or economic and political rights

The War of 1812 was the first real major declared war in (independent) American history, and nearly brought the country to its knees due to mostly its ow. However, with the Treaty of Ghent, the two powers agreed in 1814 to officially end the war status quo ante bellum, or the status before the war. What this means in essence is that the boundaries stay the same, no one gains or loses any territory, and no one really cedes any major financial or other reparations.
The War of 1812, or the second war of independence, as it is sometimes called, was a military conflict between the United States and Great Britain that started in 1812 and ended in 1815. The main trigger of the conflict was Britain’s implementation of a maritime policy that affected American trade. Moreover, Americans had accumulated a lot of anger and frustration against Britain because of the country’s practice of impressment from American ships and its support for the Indian tribes in the American northwest . The peace treaty was ratified on February 17, 1815 at Washington, under the condition of status quo ante bellum (no boundary changes). Causes of the Conflict.
