Our list of Ozzy Osbourne Albums Ranked Worst to Best shows just how quickly the former Black Sabbath frontman found success with his solo career. His first seven solo projects went multi-platinum, and sidemen like Randy Rhoads and Zakk Wylde quickly rose to guitar-hero status. Osbourne's pace eventually slowed down due to a Sabbath reunion, but with nearly a dozen albums since 1980, he's still given us plenty to chew over. Check out the following list of Ozzy Osbourne Albums Ranked Worst to Best. Next: Top 10 Randy Rhoads Guitar Solos. Filed Under: Ozzy Osbourne.

Ozzy Osbourne may be retiring from touring, but when he reflects upon his extraordinary life, he says he feels blessed, and no wonder. All is revealed as we assess every Ozzy album, from worst to bes. 5. Under Cover (Epic, 2005). Ozzy had announced his retirement after the No More Tears album in 1991. Four years later he was back with a new album featuring his old friend and former Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler alongside Zakk Wylde, drummer Deen Castronovo (Journey/Bad English) and, on keyboards, the maestro Rick Wakeman. Ozzmosis was produced by Michael Beinhorn, famed for his work with Soundgarden and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
There's more to Ozzy Osbourne than Black Sabbath. In fact, his solo career has given us some absolute heavy metal diamonds. When Black Sabbath fired their singer in 1979, you would have needed balls of pure crystal to predict his rise back to the very top. Ozzy was a mess but under the tutelage of Sharon Arden, who would become first his manager and later his wife, he would go on to surpass his Sabbathian success, becoming a global superstar as a solo artist. Part of this was due to his larger-than-life personality and tabloid fodder excesses. Without the songs to back it all up however, all the bat-biting, dove-chomping and pissing on national monuments in the world would have counted for little.
